NICAN JAMES ROBINSON (Dance Ensemble) is excited to be a part of his first play with the Artists Repertory Theatre. Nican has spent the past six years studying and performing Casino (Cuban Salsa) both in the United States and abroad. He dances and performs professionally, most recently with the New York Cuban Salsa team Fuákata under the direction of renowned Cuban salsero, Chris Rogicki.

He has trained in numerous styles of Cuban dance, including Afro-Cuban and Son, in both Cuba and the United States, and has taught Casino and Rueda de Casino classes in Shanghai and Beijing, China. Nican holds a BA from the University of California, Berkeley.
