Sound Engineer

Matt Cherub (he/they) is a musician, sound designer, and registered nurse from SE Portland. Matt seeks to channel the dynamic, the strange and the beautiful into new artistic statements. His interests in sound reach across the discipline’s spectrum, from physics and audio system design to music composition and technical guitar playing. As a musician, Matt is a session guitar player, half of art rock band CHERA CHERA, and leads a solo project under the moniker Cherub Face. Local credits include work at Artists Repertory Theatre, Portland Center Stage, Third Rail Repertory Theatre, Wieden+Kennedy, Renegade Opera, Fuse Theatre Ensemble, and more. @chaereb
