Demetri Tostado

website

Demetri Tostado is a native of southern California. He definitely has very apparent attributes of both his mother and his father. That means if either of them wish to deny him, it absolutely would not work.
Like many a performer in history, Demetri’s love of acting came from that lovely children’s game known as “pretend”. He excelled at being everything from a ninja turtle to a jedi master saiyan warrior who also happened to be a terminator.
Demetri followed his playful nature from junior high, to high school, to college where he was educated in Theatrical arts for Acting and Playwriting at the California State University of Fullerton, but he has attended many workshops, seminars, and classes held all over Los Angeles and Orange County.
Even before Demetri graduated from college, he set out on his own middle earth tutelage of becoming a working actor, and oh gosh, one thinks Frodo went through the gauntlet…
But through many theatre plays, improv comedy shows, student films, short films, commercials, industrials, some featured supporting roles and feature length films, he arrived at a place he never thought he would…a working performer. He is honored and joyous to thrill you, chill you, embrace you, change you, challenge you, etc etc with his collaborative work. Thank you all mucho much. I look forward to meeting you. Peace and Salud!

Our Mission

Artists Repertory Theatre’s mission is to produce intimate, provocative theatre and provide a home for a diverse community of artists and audiences to take creative risks.

Land Acknowledgement

ART acknowledges that our theatre rests on land that was stolen from indigenous communities. It belongs to the Cowlitz, Chinook, Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde, and the Siletz — tribes that remain present, strong and vibrant.

ANTI-RACIST STATEMENT
Artists Repertory Theatre recognizes that we are a predominately white organization and operate within systemic racism and oppression, and that silence and neutrality are actions of complicity. We recognize the critical role the arts play in our culture and national conversation, and accept our responsibility to make positive change through our work, our practices, and our policies. We commit ourselves to the work of becoming an anti-racism and anti-oppression organization, and will work with urgency to end racial inequities in our industry and our culture.
