Jacklyn Maddux

Jacklyn has appeared Off Broadway and regionally (Joseph Papp’s Public Theatre, New York Shakespeare Festival, Colorado Shakespeare Festival, Cincinnati Playhouse, Kennedy Center, Thirteenth Street Theatre, etc.) She is an Artistic Member of the Ensemble Studio Theatre (NYC). In Portland, Jacklyn has appeared at Third Rail Repertory Theatre, Profile Theatre, Shaking The Tree Theatre and Corrib Theatre. She played Thelma in CoHo Theatre’s ‘night, Mother. This past season she played Sonia for Chapel Theatre’s production of ANATOMY OF A HUG, Bob, the farm dog for Corrib Theatre’s FOUR LAST THINGS and, most recently, Mrs. J in Shaking the Tree’s ESCAPED ALONE. Jacklyn is also a playwright. Her STRANGE SIGHTINGS IN THE GREAT SOUTHWEST was a finalist for the Oregon Book Award. Her new play, TIME BEINGwas given a reading by the Reading Parlor.
Jacklyn is a Certified Alexander Technique teacher (ATI) and has taught voice, speech and Alexander Technique at the Neighborhood Playhouse (NYC) and the University of North Carolina School of The Arts. She is a member of Actors’ Equity and the Dramatists Guild.
