Dan Sweet

Dan Sweet signed up for his first acting class impulsively post-covid, and instantly fell in love with performing! In his first year, he performed in seven productions, from full-length plays to short 10-minute plays. Some of his favorite roles include Bob Cratchet and the Ghost of Christmas Past in A Christmas Carol at Sandy Actors Theatre, and Weird Al Yankovic at Chapel Theater. Dan, a native Oregonian and Portlander, has a widely varied background. Previously he has worked as a Ski Instructor, Focus Group Coordinator, Software Engineer in the TV and Movie ratings industry, and YoYo salesman. He holds degrees in Advertising, Management, Software Engineering and Math, and is leaving all that behind to find new joy with Portland’s wonderful and talented theater community.
