Pull back the veil and enter the Strange World, where black cats prowl through your nightmares, ghosts sing in the wind, and women with dark gifts walk among you.
On the surface, everything is as it appears to be, but when you look closer you’ll see the strange and unusual have been gathering, people who sometimes see the world as it truly is, drawn together by forces unseen. At the eye of the storm sit three black cats who have been sent to walk with humans, and help protect them from their own fears.
Strange & the Familiars bring you songs from beyond the veil, words of warning and mourning for all that humanity might lose. Dark humor and macabre lyrics lace story-minded music with a gothic flair. Orchestral rock and jazzy melodies combine with smoky vocals to paint a soundtrack to a world both strange and familiar, where our dreams and nightmares come out to play.
Stephanie Strange has been sharing her messages with Portland audiences for more than thirteen years and has been featured in Vortex Magazine, Eleven Magazine, Voyage LA, and on KBOO, XRAY.FM, PRP.FM and more.
