In Plain Sight is a project in Mercury III (June 2021)

The story follows Lex, a disabled, non-binary trans person, in their early 30s, who began their hormonal transition on low dose testosterone during the pandemic, and didn’t tell anyone outside of their immediate circle of friends, lovers, and work colleagues. They did not tell their adoptive conservative, Catholic family, who are scattered across the country. We begin 6 months into their transition. Their physical changes have become more drastic and noticeable, which pushes them to be honest with their loved ones.
