Bill Wessinger
ADX Fabrication Technician
Bill is a teacher, boat builder, sculptor, furniture maker and lifelong woodworker. As a sixth generation Portlander, he draws inspiration from his deep roots and love of the Pacific Northwest. When he is not working with wood he can often be found in one of his hand-built boats on the water or hiking in the mountains. Through his recent furniture building, he has become fascinated by the ways in which furniture shapes how a room is used. Depending on how furniture is designed, pieces that serve the same purpose may divide spaces or leave them open. Some pieces are largely static while other pieces can create a dynamic space. Bill works to minimize the environmental impact of the pieces he makes through the use of materials from sustainable sources and by building quality pieces that, with minimal upkeep, will last for generations.
