Authoring Queer Futures

with Adin Walker

A seminar-style workshop devoted to examining creative work by LGBTQ+ artists in the post-AIDS era. Adin Walker, a PhD Candidate at Stanford in Performance Studies and choreographer of ART’s recent Indecent, will lead students through his research on the subject of queer artists making work about futurity in the era when LGBTQ+ folks are living longer than their predecessors. Adin will provide a short list of creative work ahead of time (a mix of films, novels, plays, music, choreography) so that students have time to experience the work themselves before engaging with the workshop.
