Derek Graham

Composer

Derek A. Graham (he/him) is a sound designer, composer, and audio engineer based in North Carolina. Born and raised in Queens, New York, Derek holds an M.F.A. in Sound Design from Elizabeth City State University. Some of his notable works include Portland Center Stage’s productions of Protocol (2021) and Redwood (2019). Derek co-founded a multi-media design company with his wife, Jessica, called Life by Design Media & Production, producing a series of podcasts and advertisements for small business owners as well as photography in North Carolina. Derek is invested in using sound and music to encapsulate emotional context and subtexts, thus creating voice for the stories being told. He is excited for his first collaboration with Artists Repertory Theatre.
