Dawn Moothart

Textile Artist, Portland Apparel Lab

For four years, Dawn has run her own company, specializing in sewn-goods product development. She works with designers and innovators throughout the Portland region to help get their prototypes built and ready for manufacturing. She co-founded the Portland Apparel Lab (PAL) in 2014, recognizing that despite a talent-rich and diverse apparel design community, the city remains resource-poor, lacking the services and industry relationships necessary to grow successful brands. With the help of ADX, PAL recently launched as a makerspace for softgoods, the first step toward creating an ecosystem for apparel innovation in Portland.
