Intimacy Consultant

Lindsey Mantoan (she/her) is certification-pending as an Intimacy Director with Intimacy Directors and Coordinators, having undergone over 100 hours of advanced training. She has done intimacy direction for Fuse Theatre Ensemble, Willamette University, and Linfield University. As the Ronni Lacroute Chair in Theatre Studies at Linfield, Lindsey teaches courses on musical theatre, queer theory, and political and protest performance. At Linfield, she has directed The Wolves, Heathers the Musical, She Kills Monsters, and others. Her current book project, It’s All Happening: How Broadway Does High School (Oxford University Press, forthcoming) researches the way musicals set in high schools frame adolescence as a laboratory for personal and communal experimentation.
