Artists from across areas of practice gather for a single day intensive story circle/sharing workshop. Participants are guided through a series of prompts/themes and share autobiographical stories in response to those prompts. Writing breaks are interspersed throughout so storytellers can journal, stream-of-consciousness respond, jot down bullet points, etc. After a few hours of sharing stories, participants select one idea/story-combo to lean into for the remainder of the day. We then focus on supporting the expansion of each story through Q&A and discussion groups. Each participant ideally ends the day with a 2-10-minute story they have the option to share at an invited Mercury Co. gathering for the last hour of the workshop.
