Taya Dixon
Taya Dixon (she/her/hers) received her B.F.A in Acting and Performance from Southern Oregon University. She is so honored to be put into this cohort of amazing artists, and have the opportunity to grow in the Portland theatre scene. Recent projects and productions Taya has been a part of include: Convergence (as Dee) at Oregon Origins Project; Our Utopia (as Columbia) at Bag & Baggage; Butterfly (as Ket) for the Yale Indigenous Playwright Festival; Hedda Gabler (as Aunt Julia); Silkworms (Teresa); Into the Woods (as Jack’s Mother), all at the Oregon Center for the Arts. Taya loves singing, playwriting, photography, and improv/sketch comedy, as she loves making people laugh and telling meaningful stories. She would like to acknowledge her family, and thank them, for always telling her to reach for her dreams, even if it means watching her talk to herself all day long, and or quote movies and TV shows that she deems “the peak of comedy”.
