Stage Management: The Art of Leadership and Collaboration
with Carol Ann Wohlmut, Kristeen Willis
Want to learn more about working as a stage manager at a professional level? There’s more to it than just “stand-by” and “Go.”
Taught by Resident Stage Manager, Carol Ann Wohlmut and Production Manager Kristeen Willis, this four week class investigates theatre-making from the Stage Manager’s perspective. This course offers the foundation for the process and practice of stage management, from pre-production through rehearsal and performance. Specifics such as rehearsal room set-up, contracts, production schedule, and prompt books will be explored, as well as the artistic process of creating an environment where creative risks can be taken and collaboration is cultivated.
