At the Table

Writing can be a lonely process, and sometimes a playwright needs to talk!  At the Table offers conversation and dramaturgical support to Pacific Northwest writers working on a new play. With thoughtful, rigorous feedback from ART’s staff dramaturgs, we seek to help writers create their strongest, boldest work.

Each season, four projects are selected to receive:

• Free, playwright-guided sessions offering dramaturgical support – up to four 60-minute conversations with ART’s staff dramaturgs, in person or over Zoom 
• Open to writers living in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, or British Columbia

• Writers at all experience levels are welcome to apply, but there must be at least one complete draft.

• Flexibly scheduled around the playwright’s process

Projects are selected through an application-based process, based on which ones we believe we can most effectively serve. For the 2026/27 season, applications are due October 15, 2026, and selected writers will be notified by December 1, 2026.
