Maria Porter is SO HAPPY to return to Artists Rep to work with Luan after having made her Portland debut here in TRUE STORY. She most recently appeared as Amanda in THE GLASS MENAGERIE at Shaking-the-Tree. Regional: Anonymous Theatre (POTUS), Portland Center Stage (THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST), Portland Center Stage and Oregon Shakespeare Festival (CORIOLANUS), Corrib Theatre, 21TEN, Milwaukee Rep, Hangar Theatre, Hartford Stage, Kennedy Center, Virginia Stage Company. Off Broadway: Clubbed Thumb, Target Margin, Theatre for a New City. Favorite roles include Ranevskaya in THE CHERRY ORCHARD, Skryker in THE SKRYKER, and Mary Grimm in HENRY FOOL. A long time practitioner of the Suzuki method, Maria used this work to develop an original pedagogy and create performances and recently worked with PETE’s ICP cohort and the ensemble of TELEPHONE.
