Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have a way to reduce everyday stress and tension, to ease pain, be more present, move with freedom and more ease and improve various skills (performance, playing a musical instrument, singing, dancing, athletics) along with a greater awareness of life and our moment to moment reactions to it?
This class will discuss the basic principles of the Alexander Technique, F. M. Alexander’s history and how he developed the technique, and basic anatomy. We’ll also discuss how to bring about awareness and ease into your everyday life and how to make choices about habitual movement patterns. This class prepares you for beginning hands-on work.
