Texas raised, Portland based writer, podcaster, producer, Amanda Boyd is a driven and passionate storyteller. She enjoys writing about the minutia of life and anything regarding the African Diaspora. While she is not writing scripts, she runs her non profit The Talented X and her podcast Last Black Woman in Portland.

Ariela Subar

Ariela Subar (she/her/hers) is thrilled to be back at Artists Rep after working as the Production Assistant on Everybody earlier this season. She has worked professionally throughout the country, most recently as a production assistant for the Utah Shakespeare Festival’s productions of Othello, The Foreigner, and The Liar. Other professional credits include Emerald City Theatre’s Knuffle Bunny: A Cautionary Musical (assistant stage manager) and Magic Tree House: Showtime with Shakespeare (assistant stage manager), Lucky Plush Productions’ Rooming House (stage manager), Victory Gardens Theater’s Queen (production assistant), Baltimore Center Stage’s Twisted Melodies (production assistant), Lookingglass Theater Company’s Mr. and Mrs. Pennyworth (production assistant), First Floor Theater’s Fitzfest (stage manager), The Awake (assistant stage manager), Animals Commit Suicide (assistant stage manager), Kafkapalooza (stage management intern), and stage management internships at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, American Theater Company, Court Theatre, and Chicago Children’s Theatre. Ariela holds a BA in Theater & Performance Studies from the University of Chicago.

Cecily Madanes

Cecily Madanes is a properties master and artisan for theatre, television, fashion, music videos, and stop motion animation. She has worked with a diverse group of production companies including Profile Theatre, Artists Rep, Monkey With a Hat On, Portland Shakespeare Project, and Zodiak Media. Cecily is delighted to bring her love of objects to this exciting production.

Cecily attended the University of California, San Diego where she received her bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Computing and the Arts.

Charlie Capps

Charlie is excited to return for his third season at Artists Rep, where he has gone from an intern to both a carpenter and production assistant for Caught, The Skin of Our Teeth, Feathers and Teeth and many other shows without ‘teeth’ in the title. Other notable credits in Portland include working as production manager on The Gun Show with CoHo Productions and a production assistant for Profile Theatre’s Bright Half Life. Charlie finished the summer working on the stage crew at the Santa Fe Opera, opening the world premiere of The (R)evolution of Steve Jobs and running four other operas. He hopes you enjoy the show!

Erin MacGillivray

Erin MacGillivray (she/her) is a graduate from Whitman College with a B.A. in Theatre and Classical Studies. Erin is a recent Third Rail Repertory mentorship program alum, and stage manages at Milagro (Judge Torres, La Segua, Jump), Third Angle New Music, and Original Practice Shakespeare Festival. She is also a co-founder and stage manger at Red Balloon Theatre Collective. Her credits outside of stage management include assistant director on Revolt. She Said. Revolt Again (Third Rail Repertory) and costume designer on Care of Trees (Enso Theatre Ensemble). This is her first production with Artists Rep.

Esther McFaden

Esther is thrilled to be back at Artists Rep after and working on Trevor and The Skin of Our Teeth here last season. She is a graduate of Emerson College with a BFA in Stage & Production and BA in Writing, Literature and Publishing. Recent credits include Carrie The Musical (Stage Manager) with the Young Artists’ Ensemble, Upside Down: A Musical Tale After The Christ (ASM) with the Upside Down Theater Company, and To Kill A Mockingbird, Blues For Mister Charlie, The Heidi Chronicles and Julius Caesar (SM Intern) at Trinity Repertory Company. Philippians 3:7-14.

Karen is happy to be at Artists Rep for her fifth season. She has worked on Skeleton Crew, Magellanica, The Humans, An Octoroon, The Importance of Being Earnest, Marjorie Prime, A Civil War Christmas, American Hero, Grand Concourse, Miracle Worker, Cuba Libre, and Exiles. She also works at Portland Shakespeare Project, Oregon Children’s Theatre, Profile Theatre, and the Portland Opera as a stage manager and production manager.

She is grateful every day that she gets to create beautiful art, and would like to thank her husband, Mike, for his continued support of this crazy lifestyle.
