All-female Portland Art Museum Docents exhibit for "The Importance of Being Earnest"
The Geezer Gallery Presents: Portland Art Museum Docents
The Geezer Gallery presents an all-female exhibition inspired by Artists Repertory Theatre’s all-female production of The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde.
The Geezer Gallery is proud to have partnered with the Portland Art Museum’s docents to create a diverse show to exhibit the docents’ personal artwork. The Docent Council is a passionate group of art enthusiasts who pursue avenues to share their knowledge of the fine arts with the community at the Portland Art Museum. There are over 20 docents participating in this unique show that celebrates this group’s successful women in many mediums of the visual art world. These women’s expression is empowering and inspiring.
Planned Parenthood Advocates of Oregon will receive 10% of artwork sales in this exhibit from these supportive artists: Kathy Wilson, Didi Nowers, Dana Gillem-Klaebe, Susanne Metcalf, Connie Bushnell, Judith Kempe, Michele Sabatier, Paula Carson, Jane Kearns, Maihwa Frances Li, Karen Alexander-Brown, Janet Holt, Judi Davis, Karen Moon, Nancy Gillespie, Sara Lea, others TBA.
